    Q11. Name of the interface present in MME to MME, and protocol name?

    Ans. S10 is the interface name between MME to MME, and protocol name is GTPC.

    Q12. What is the name of Protocol using in P-GW to OCS and OFCS?

    Ans. The name of protocol using between PGW to OCS and OFCS is Diameter.

    Q13. How many famous LTE technique? And how many types of bandwidth use in LTE?

    Ans. There are two types of techniques in LTE which are FDD and TDD. 6 types of BW used (1.4,3,5,10,15,20)Mhz.

    Q14. What is Resource Block (RB) in lte?

    Ans. Resource Block is the smallest unit of Radio Resources allocated to user, it is 180Khz in freq Domain and 0.5ms in time domain. 1 Resource block is equivalent to 1 Time Slot. One resource block carry 12 subcarrier and each subcarrier BW in 15Khz. It also carry OFDMA symbol which is categorized in normal (7 OFDMA symbols) and extended(6 OFDMA symbols) cyclic prefix.

    Q15. How many events are in LTE ?

    Ans. There are 7 Events in LTE:
    A1:-Serving become better than threshold.
    A2:Serving become worst then threshold.
    A3: Neighbour become offset better than serving.
    A4:Neighbour becomes better than threshold.
    A5; Serving become worse than threshold 1 and neighbour become better than threshold 2.
    B1: Inter RAT neighbour become better than threshold.
    B2; Serving become worse than threshold 1 and inter RAT neighbour become better than threshold 2.

    Q16. How many System Information Blocks (SIBs) are present in LTE?

    Ans. There are 14 types of SIB in LTE in Release 9
    Cell access related parameters, scheduling of other SIBs contained PLMN information’s
    It contained Common and shared channel configuration, RACH related configuration are also present
    It contained Parameters required for intra-frequency, inter-frequency and I-RAT cell re-selections
    Contained Information regarding INTRA-frequency neighbouring cells (E-UTRA)

    Q17. What kind of information SIBs carry?

    Ans. Mainly Sibs carried systems information for more details refer to answer 16.

    Q18. What is MIB? Is MIB also a part of System Information? If yes then what kind or information it carrying?

    Ans. MIB full form is Master Information Block, yes it is a part of System Information. Basically its carry 3 types of information:
    (i)          Bandwidth detail.
    (ii)         PHICH Detail
    (iii)        System Frame Number.
    MIB is present in every Radio frame and every 40 ms new MIBs and same MIB repeated for 10 ms.

    Q19. What is OFDM symbol? How many symbol present in a subframe in Normal & Extended?

    Ans. OFDM is a orthogonal freq division multiple access, Its a scheme or method for digital multi subcarrier using many closely spaced subcarrier-previously modulated signal modulated into another signal of higher freq and bandwidth. Each of the subcarrier contains number of parallel data stream grp bits of data related to gross bit rate, which is expressed in bites/second. Sub-frame that tightly packed to help make efficient use of spectrum. 1 OFDMA symbol sampling rate is 2048 and 66.7usec in sampling time.
    Uses and Benefits:
    (i)          Avoid multipath fading issue and using in DL.
    (ii)         Reduced impact of delay spread.
    Drawbacks:
    (i)          Relatively high peak to average power ratio(PAPR)(Its means power amplifier have to operate with increased back off that reduced efficiency).

    Classified in two cyclic prefix categories:
    (i)                  Normal Cyclic prefix: It carry 7 OFDMA symbol at a time in which 1symbol prefix sampling rate is 160 and time is 5.2us, remaining 6 symbol prefix sampling rate in 144 and 4.7us.
    (ii)                 Extended Cyclic prefix : It carry 6 OFDMA symbol at a time and all symbol prefix sampling rate in 512 and 16.7us sampling time.9

    Q20. How many Channels are used in LTE system?

    Ans. There are 3 channels used in LTE(i) Physical (ii)Logical (iii) Transport channels.
