Q31. How many types of KPI used in LTE?

Ans. There are 6 Types of KPI:

1. Accessibility KPI:Are used to measure properly of whether services requested by users can be accessed in given condition, also refers to the quality of being available when users needed. eg. user request to access the network, access the voice call, data call.
2. Retainability: Are used to measure how the network keep user's possession or able to hold and provide the services for the users
3. Mobility: Are used to measure the performance of network which can handle the movement of users and still retain the service for the user, such as handover
4. Integrity: Are used to measure the character or honesty of network to its user, such as what is the throughput, latency which users were served
5. Availability: Are used to measure how the network keep user's possession or able to hold and provide the services for the users
6. Utilization: Are used to measure the utilization of network, whether the network capacity is reached its resource.

Q32. What is Counter? And how many types of counter in LTE?

Ans. Counters is kind of formula used to change the parameter of site statistics.Thers are many counters + few CSFB counter attached below.

Q33. What is LAC, RAC and TAC in network? Where these required?

Ans. LAC(Location Area Code) is the concept of circuit domain in the aera of 2G and 3G, which enables the mobile switch (MSC/SEVER) to know the location of the terminal in time. The terminal does not need to update the location in a location area identity, while it needs to do so when moving across different location areas in order to let the network knows the location area of the terminal.

(LAI = PLMN + LAC)

RAC(Routing Area Code) is the concept of packet domain in the area of 2G and 3G, which enables the SGSN to know the location of the terminal in time. The terminal does not need to perform RA update in one RAI .RA update will occur when moving across the routing area identity.

(RAI = PLMN+ LAC + RAC)

TAC (Tracking Area code) is a concept newly set up by the LTE/SAE system to manage the location of the UE. TAC is grouped into a TAI list , is defined as an area in which UE doesn't need the service of updating and can move freely.

(TAI=MCC+MNC+TAC)

Q34. What is difference between Soft reset and Hard reset?

Ans. Soft reset: It is the reset which is done by operator office by using a tool called OSS, reset the parameter of the site but it is not that much reliable.

Hard reset: It is the reset which is done on site by site engineer by making a Site down for 5 to 15 minute, it is reliable process but using after soft reset.

Q35. What is reserve mode and why it use?

Ans. Reserve mode is the mode in which normal user couldn’t connect to the site and user cant latch with that site, it is used for official purpose only when there some activity going on site by Engineers.

Q36. Which Access Class SIM is required to latch on reserved network?

Ans. Class-15 access SIM card required to latch on reserved network.

Q37. In FDD and TDD? Which technique has more Interference?

Ans. TDD have more interference as we know FDD uses separates freq for DL and UL at a time but in TDD we used same frequencies for DL and UL.

Q38. In FDD and TDD? Which technique gives more throughputs?

Ans. FDD gives better throughput than TDD technology because TDD has less capacity to accommodate user data and traffic in radio frame compared to FDD.

Q39. What is Alarm? And what kind of information they provide to RNO?

Ans. Alarm is nothing but its a reflection of faults occurring in any components of sites. Basically Alarm is classified in two categories: (i)Major and (ii) Minor alarm.
