Q01 Explain Lab Setup?
Ans.
In
lab we have a system simulator (SS) (Anite, agilent, R&S, Panda,
Aeroflex, Anritsu etc) these are popular tools using in lte lab
setup.
Device
Under Test (DUT) with display or without display.
Test
PC or Automation PC.
Log
viewer Tools (like anite log viewer, Notepad++ etc).
Reporting
Tools (like Bugzila, Jira etc).
Connections
(DUT connect to Test PC via USB cable, DUT connect to SS via RF
cable, and 1 is power cable).
Test
PC connect with SS via LAN cable.
Q02 Which System Simulator you are using in your Lab?
Ans.
Reply with tool name that you are using in your company. Above I
mention some popular tool names.
Q03 Which Chipset you are working right now?
Ans.
Reply with the latest chipset (processor) you are working in your
company like MediaTek chipset eg MTK 6566, MTK 6765. Qualcomm Chipset
eg SM7250, SM 8450 etc.
Q04 Which tool you are using in Conformance Testing?
Ans. Reply with any tool name which you are using in your lab for Test Case executions. Like (Elvior Test Cast Tool, Anritsu Rapid Test Designer (RTD) Tool) etc.
Q05 Which tool you are using in Log Analysis?
Ans. A free tool name is 3GPP decoder, Notepad++ some paid tools like Keysight log viewer, Anritsu Protocol Analyzer 3 (PA3) or Trace Logger.Q06 Had you check any log? If yes then what you have to check and how?
Ans. After completion of execution if there any Test Case is failed then you have to check what is the reason of failure. So, you need to check your log file which you had capture during testing, open this log into the log analyser tool and check the root cause of error, you can filter this log in log viewer tool to check any specific layer messages. For example, like Layer 3 message Rrc Reconfiguration is reached to lower layer and Dut have sent back the ACK-Nack message of the same Rrc PDU to SS.
Q07 What is Log Mask? Who provide Log Mask?
Ans. Log mask means hide some information of a message, for eg RrcConnectionRequest carry lots of information elements inside there. Client provide log mask.Q08 Which SIM you are using? And who provide?
Ans.
We are using a Test SIM in our lab, these sim are provided by SS team
Q09 How you Configure your DUT?
Ans. For eg: you are working on anite automation tool (TAG)Go (Device configuration==>Summary==>Device Under Test==>configure)
click on communication DUT==>send command.
A drag drop window open give AT commands ** if your dut don’t have display
after that click on start communication button and your DUT is confugured now.
Q10 How you Capture the logs? e.g DUT logs, System Simulator logs, Test System Logs?
Ans. Each tool capture logs automatically at default path, if a user wants to store capture logs at specific location, then he/she can update the logs-path from default to Custom.
For custom capture each tool having a path Icon, click on them it will ask the path where you want to save your logs, provide the correct path and save it.
