    c-rnti in 5g, nr cell identity (nci), mcs-c-rnti, cs-rnti, i-rnti, c-rnti 5g, i-rnti 5g, p-rnti, si-rnti, ra-rnti, t-c-rnti, guti, 5g-guti, 4g-guti, 5g ncgi

    If we discuss about identities there are multiple identities are present in 5G New Radio network as well as LTE Radio Network. Some identities are uses by User Equipment and some are Network Entities identities. So here I am written almost all identities use in network.

    UE Identities:
    The identities are used by NR when connected to 5GC.

    C-RNTI:

    specific UE identity used as an identifier of the RRC Connection and for scheduling;

    CS-RNTI:

    particular UE identity used for Semi-Persistent Scheduling within the downlink;

    INT-RNTI:

    identification of pre-emption inside the downlink;

    P-RNTI:

    identification of Paging and System Information alternate notification in the downlink;

    SI-RNTI:

    identity of Broadcast and System Information in the downlink;

    SP-CSI-RNTI:

    particular UE identification used for semi-persistent CSI reporting on PUSCH;
    For energy and slot format control, the following identities are used:
    SFI-RNTI: identity of slot layout;
    TPC-PUCCH-RNTI: particular UE identification to control the power of PUCCH;
    TPC-PUSCH-RNTI: specific UE identification to govern the electricity of PUSCH;
    TPC-SRS-RNTI: precise UE identity to control the electricity of SRS;
    During the random access procedure, the subsequent identities also are used:

    RA-RNTI:

    identity of the Random Access Response inside the downlink;

    Temporary C-RNTI:

    UE identity quickly used for scheduling for the duration of the random access procedure:

    Random value for contention resolution

    UE identity temporary used for contention resolution purposes during random access procedure.
    For NR linked to 5GC, the following UE identity is used at, NG-RAN level:

    I-RNTI:

    generally used to identifying the UE context in RRC_INACTIVE.

    Network Identities:

    The following identities are used in NG-RAN for identifying particular networks entities:

    AMF Name:

    used to discover an AMF in 5G NR architecture.

    NR Cell Global Identifier (NCGI):

    used to identify of NR cells globally. The NCGI is made from the PLMN identification the cellular belongs to and the NR Cell Identity (NCI) of the cell.

    gNB Identifier:

    used to identify gNBs within a PLMN. The gNB ID is contained inside the NCI of its cells.

    Global gNB ID:

    used to pick out gNBs globally. The Global gNB Identity is made from the PLMN identity the gNB belongs to and the gNB ID. The MCC and MNC are the same as included inside the NCGI.

    Tracking Area identification (TAI):

    used to identify monitoring areas. The TAI is produced from the PLMN identification the monitoring location belongs to and the TAC (Tracking Area Code) of the Tracking Area.

    Single Network Slice Selection Assistance information (S-NSSAI):

    used to identifies a network slice.

    Permanent Equipment Identifier [PEI]:

    If the UE supports at least one 3GPP access technology, the UE have to be allocated a PEI in the IMEI layout.
    The scope of this release, only format supported for the PEI parameter is an IMEI.

    The 5G-GUTI shall be based as:

    The AMF shall allocate a 5G Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (5G-GUTI) to the UE, that is same for each 3GPP and non-3GPP access.
    It shall be viable (possible) to use the identical 5G-GUTI for accessing 3GPP access to and non-3GPP access protection context inside the AMF for the given UE.
    An AMF may also re-assign a latest 5G-GUTI to the UE at any time. The AMF can also put off updating the UE with its new 5G-GUTI until the next NAS transaction.
    A UE assisting registration over each 3GPP and Non-3GPP access to 2 PLMNs those aren’t same to every other shall be capable of contend with separate 5G-GUTIs, one consistent with PLMN.
    The 5G-GUTI shall be based as:
    <5G-GUTI> :è <GUAMI>+<5G-TMSI>
    NOTE: The mapping defined above does not necessarily suggest the equal length for the 5G [GUTI] and EPS [GUTI] fields which are mapped.
    GUTI allocation in 5g

    5G GUTI

    GUTI allocation in 4g

    4G GUTI

    5G [MCC] equal to EPS [MCC].
    5G [MNC] equal to EPS [MNC].
    5G AMF (region id) and 5G (AMF Set ID) equal to EPS (MME Group ID) and a part of EPS (MME Code).
    5G [AMF Region ID] equal to EPS [MME Code].
    5G Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity (TMSI) equal to EPS Temporary Mobile Subscriber Identity (TMSI).
